United States Concealed Carry Association
USCCA firearms training courses are fast becoming the industry leader in concealed carry and home defense. These engaging and dynamic courses include classroom instruction based on Michael Martin's 'Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals' book as well as live-fire drills, hands-on training, and active self-defense shooting scenario's. These courses also advance the mindset of the responsible defensive firearms owner by focusing on and understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness, handgun & shotgun basics, shooting fundamentals, the Physiology of violent encounters, the legal aspects of the use of deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath), and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training. Additional topics include developing your own personal and home protection plan, firearm basics, shooting fundamentals, legal use of force, physiology of violent encounters, dealing with the aftermath, and gear selection. Refuse to Be a Victim
Developed by the National Rifle Association in 1993, this NRA Certified course teaches the personal safety tips and techniques needed to identify potentially dangerous situations and AVOID BECOMING A VICTIM. This seminar is appropriate for young adults, men, women, the disabled, parents, senior citizens, etc. The program materials include special teaching modules for parents which discusses tips for children ages preschool to college, the handicapped and more. Classroom instruction details a variety of crime prevention strategies, from criminal psychology to automobile crimes to cyber crime as well as revealing common weaknesses that criminals often take advantage of, and teach a variety of corrective measures that are practical, inexpensive, and easy to follow. Topics include home security, carjack avoidance techniques, cyber safety, and use of non-lethal personal safety devices. Students receive the Refuse To Be A Victim student handbook, brochure, firearms supplement, and a course completion certificate. In just three to four hours, you will get the basic instruction needed to develop your own personal safety strategy.
